Skincare Treatments

In addition to our menu of nonsurgical, anti-aging treatments that include minimally invasive procedures such as PRP microneedling (Vampire Facial®) , ellacor® skin tightening, and injectable fillers, our practice offers non-invasive aesthetic treatments that can be part of your ongoing skincare regimen. These options include:

Diamond Peel Microdermabrasion

Exfoliation—removing the top layer of dead or damaged skin cells—is an essential part of keeping your skin looking healthy and vibrant. Microdermabrasion reduces brown spots and excess pigmentation and brightens dull skin by accelerating the turnover of dead skin cells—a process that slows down as we age. Instead of spraying fine crystals on the skin, our providers glide a wand with a diamond-encrusted tip across the skin, dislodging dead skin cells and vacuuming them away. Diamond microdermabrasion minimizes dryness and redness that can occur with crystal microdermabrasion.

Excess dead skin cells can cause conditions such as acne, and removing them with microdermabrasion regulates cell turnover and keeps your skin looking smooth and vibrant. Most patients are good candidates for microdermabrasion, which can also be combined with dermaplaning.

What Is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning exfoliates your skin but also removes fine vellus hair (“peach fuzz”) from the face. The procedure technique is similar to shaving, with the provider carefully scraping a scalpel across the skin to remove both dead cells and hair. It’s an excellent option for patients with dull, rough skin. Dermaplaning produces soft, glowing skin and is a treatment that many of our patients have added to their skincare routines.

ZO^® Stimulator Chemical Peel

Known as a “lunchtime” peel because the procedure can be completed in about 30 minutes and doesn’t require any downtime, the ZO Stimulator peel is the newest addition to the family of peels from Dr. Zein Obagi. The peel combines salicylic, lactic, and citric acids to exfoliate dead skin cells and stimulate cellular turnover, improving the skin’s texture and appearance. It’s appropriate for any skin type or color and can treat

• Melasma
• Sun damage
• Fine lines
• Large pores
• Acne

Even though no downtime is needed following a ZO Stimulator peel, you can expect minimal swelling (if any) and some slight redness for a few hours. You can apply makeup immediately after the treatment. We recommend scheduling a series of treatments to get the desired results.

What Is the Cost of a ZO Stimulator Peel?

There are actually 3 different types of Stimulator peels from ZO. The costs of these peels are:

• Stimulator Brightening Peel: $125
• Stimulator Peel (for oily skin): $100

ZO^® 3-Step Peel

This effective, versatile procedure is an excellent option for treating acne, melasma, sun damage, fine lines, enlarged pores, and rough skin. Patients of all skin types and tones can benefit from the 3-step peel, which begins with exfoliation by applying a solution that blends salicylic acid, TCA, and lactic acid.

The second step involves applying a retinol crème to stimulate the production of collagen and enhance cellular renewal, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and firming your skin. The application of a calming crème during the third step rapidly relieves skin irritation and redness while also re-balancing vital moisture content and improving the skin’s barrier function.

Even though the 3-step peel is most often used to improve the appearance of facial skin, it’s effective when used on the neck, legs, arms, hands, or chest. No matter the treatment area, you’ll notice immediately that your skin is tighter, smoother, and brighter. A series of treatment sessions promote optimal results.

HydraFacial

This personalized skin rejuvenation treatment is an excellent choice no matter your age or skin type. Using a patented device that incorporates vacuum technology and specialized serums, the HydraFacial cleanses and exfoliates the surface of the skin and gently unplugs pores. It simultaneously infuses the skin with your choice of serum that can address fine lines and wrinkles, acne, dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and other concerns. Treatments take as little as 30 minutes to complete.
