It is hard as a man to find a plastic surgeon whom you believe will have the skill and aesthetics to preform a facelift, especially on a man! I wanted a lower facelift to minimize my sagging lower jawline. And I had been researching this procedure, especially for men, off and on for at least a year. I knew men were more difficult to preform facelift surgery on because of their thick skin and did have a different aesthetic/look than women do. So I searched around and had consultations, one in Scottsdale and another in Phoenix. But I just didn’t feel right about these doctors. Well I searched in my own backyard, Tucson and checked out all the major plastic surgeons in the area and found Dr Olson. I selected him for a consultation mainly because nearly every surgery he did was mostly from the shoulders up…hence more focused and he had been doing surgery since the 90’s…so experienced, especially with men. The consultation was amazing. He checked off all the boxes by explaining everything throughly. He had a very approachable demeanor and was personable. He did an amazing job on my face and it was very obvious that his skill level was upper echelon!! Yes there are a lot of plastic surgeons out there and it is difficult to know who are the better ones. Dr. Olson is one of those doctors. A surgeon at the highest level in his genre!! My post op care was excellent with Mercy and the staff! What a great experience!

Would 100% Recommend for Rhinoplasty! Like so many, I've been wanting to change my nose for many years. But now more than ever, most in the market for plastic surgery are well aware of the horror stories. I saw so many highly rated reviews of Dr. Olson prior to my consultation and procedure, and still I was terrified, so if you are experiencing the same hesitancy, continue reading. The adjustment to my nose was going to be 'minor'. I primarily wanted the dorsal hump gone. During the consult, Dr. Olson let me know that some of the tip would be refined, and that for harmony, he'd highly recommend my nostrils come in a bit (alar reduction). My eyes went kind of wide, as I couldn't help but think about all the celebrity noses that are far too narrow. However, after sleeping on it some, and looking at his before and after pictures about 99 times, I decided it'd be best to trust his judgement and training versus not. The consultation was easy enough to schedule and went as you'd hope. Not rushed, open, and overall, pleasant. He's very mild-mannered and his entire practice is immaculate. Timeline: consult was mid-summer and surgery was scheduled for December. I wanted a surgery date that was close to Christmas. However, I believe they could've gotten me in a little sooner if I so chose. Pre-surgery: Mercy, his nurse, will be in contact with you regarding some post-op care and confirming dates/times/procedures. He then will be in touch with you (a phone call) to confirm the same information and to provide some additional information (when to begin your fast, etc). You also pick up your prescription ~1 week prior to the procedure. I found this convenient as I wasn't running around a day or two pre-op. Day of surgery: My surgery was at 6A. It was a surgery center so you, along with a waiting room full of people are all checking in for procedures. That was fine and didn't phase me. Surgery: idk I was asleep. But the surgery nurse and anesthesiologist were really, really good at what they did. If woman, you give a urine sample for a pregnancy test. My purse and clothes were bagged and tagged my the surgery nurse, Dr. Olson poked his head in to make sure all was clear, and my anesthesia was administered. Post-op: I woke up out of the best nap ever, and when I realized where I was and that I had a new nose, I still didn't register pain. The pain peaked at a 2 out of 10. You think it's going to be the worst pain ever, but personally, I managed without even Tylenol. The worst part is the obstructed airways. I feel this is a reality no one talks about. You're a mouth breather for a solid 4-5 days and it interrupts your sleep so much that you start to go a little insane. But I'd like to reiterate, it is not painful, just frustrating, as sleep deprivation creeps up on you. Results: I initially thought I looked like Miss Piggy, but why would I look at my Day 3 or Day 4 self and say those are "results". You must exercise patience. Keep your aftercare very minimal, do not move around too much and your nose's swelling will come down. Pictures: the picture with me in the flannel and sherpa jacket is my before nose. Then, the casted nose is to show the extent of the bruising, and the sunglasses pic is also an after, about 2-3 weeks post-op. Finally, the eye patch picture are screenshots of a recent FaceTime, ~10 months post-op. Apologies they're not more posed. However, I really enjoy how my nose isn't scooped out nor does it have an upturned tip. He reiterates his preference is to take out too little than too much. My nose still retains all of it's old features, just refined. It was a leap of faith, as many of you can imagine, but to have landed in a skilled surgeon's hands is beyond a blessing. As most of us can identify with, nothing is "wrong" with our old nose, so what if I change it and it goes horribly wrong? If you are in the same boat, I'd recommend Dr. Olson, from my research he is an ethical physician who also has vast experience.
My son had otoplasty this year with great results. His ears were a particularly difficult case; large, prominent, completely asymmetrical, lacking any type of fold, etc. It was painful for him to wear headphones or lay on his side for too long. The team at Foothills Facial Plastic Surgery did a fantastic job and we're very pleased with the results. It took several months for his ears to fully settle into their new shape, however, they are now very natural looking and symmetrical. He couldn't be happier.

Great Experience Before I ever decided to have a procedure. I shopped around. I don't do well with anesthesia, so I needed to have the right medication. Dr. Olson offered me exactly what I wanted. The perfect procedure and the best possible anesthesia (propofol). I would highly recommend him. He's a great surgeon.
I had facelift surgery with a local cosmetic surgeon and was disappointed with the results. Years after the surgery I still felt I needed a facelift. I saw an ad and decided to contact Dr. Olson and I'am glad I did. He understood the result I was looking for and delivered. Throughout the entire process, he explained everything in great detail in a way I could understand. Nurse Mercy was a joy to work with. She walked me through costs in a very transparent way. Both the office and surgical center staff were very professional. I no longer have the tired look I had pre-op and would definitely recommend Dr. Olsen to friends and family.
Last week I had bilateral upper eyelid surgery performed by Dr Olson. I am thrilled with the result and highly recommend Dr Olson and his team for this procedure. I was comfortable throughout the procedure and have had an easy, smooth recovery. This practice is a gem and truly five stars.....

I never encountered another patient due to efficient scheduling and superior patient/time management. Thus, it felt like a private clinic just for me. Next, the evaluation and presurgical consultation was not rushed. My concerns were heard and Dr. Olson shared what he thought would be optimal, too. I wanted this. We often fixate on a "problem" that is tied to other aspects of our appearance and we underestimate what it takes to make it look great. He solved that for me. On the day of surgery, the outpatient center was busy but ran on time. The staff were considerate and professional and I never waited. Someone was doing something for me to assure my safety or comfort every minute I was there. The aftercare was pretty easy. The advice I was given about what I'd feel and look like was 100% accurate and the continual follow up to ensure surgical excellence and my happiness were comforting. For this reason, of you do not live here but have traveled for your procedure, you need A MINIMUM of a week to be seen and cared for. This is not something to trivialize. You want the attention and care. Finally, my outcomes are so incredible to me that I feel I am "starting over" in the best way possible. Not one person has figured out what I have done (this review may "out" me) because there are no visible scars (only my shampoo girl at the salon had a question). I just look like me, minus the haggard, tired, old neck and jawline. I am beyond pleased and see the entire process as intensive art and Dr. Olson was my artist. That someone can see hundreds of faces with hundreds of features and optimize those features to best suit the individual is indeed a gift. Dr. Olson and his capable staff (Mercy Olson, RN, a wonderful and essential component of your care) will surpass your expectations and the care they provide is unparalleled.

Dr olson and his entire staff was the best plastic surgeon's office I ever encountered! From the consultation to the follow ups post surgery I couldn't have been happier! He is an absolute artist when it comes to face lifts!! I looooove mine and get compliments all the time on how young I look! I'm 67 and look so naturally myself just refreshed! ! I highly recommend Dr olson! I wouldn't go anywhere else!!!
